Insta, aside from its fun and engaging photo sharing app, is designed to make users more comfortable with an array of features. It offers ease-of-use and security for users, so Instagram can be used without interruptions.
The Facebook app now offers a “Recently Deleted” feature that allows us to better manage our posts. This feature allows users to retrieve deleted posts, whether accidentally or intentionally, and then change their mind soon afterwards.
This feature is familiar to both Android and iOS users. In the Photos/Gallery app on some Android phones, you will find a section called “Recently Deleted” where all deleted media is stored. If you accidentally delete some posts, you can go to this section and retrieve them.
Instagram’s ‘Recently Deleted” feature is similar to it. It allows you access the videos or photos you have deleted but you want now. It’s easy to do this by following a few simple steps. These steps are easy to follow.
How do I restore Instagram deleted posts? (Android, iOS)
Step 1: Open the Instagram app from your phone.
Step 2: Next, go to the Profile section.
Step 3: Click on the hamburger menu located in the upper right corner.
Step 4: Choose the Settings option.
Step 5: Next, click on the Account option.
Step 6: Now you will find the ‘Recently deleted’ section.
Step 7: Select the option to delete the images, videos, reels, IGTV Videos or Instagram Stories that you wish to delete.
Step 8: Next, tap the Restore button and you’re good to go.
It is worth noting that media stays in the “Recently Deleted” section for 30 calendar days. You have that time to retrieve your media. The media is automatically deleted after the 30 day window expires.
This new Instagram feature will not only be a useful tool for managing content, but it will also increase security by being able to restore posts that were deleted while an attacker hacked your account. Instagram users will need to prove their identity before they can delete posts.
This new feature is being implemented and will soon be available to all users.
