BGR.in is proud to present an exclusive photo of Peugeot’s vehicle that was being used in Himachal. The images clearly show that this car’s name is Peugeot Boxer. This multi-purpose van has been in operation for nearly three decades across Europe. This car was sold under different brands, such as Citroen Jumper and Ram ProMaster, but it’s still competitive on the market.

Euro 6 engine was the most recent upgrade that was visible around the car. It is now compliant with European emissions laws. Although the photos of the car suggest an internal combustion engine version, it is impossible to overlook the electric variant of this vehicle, given the Indian government’s efforts to encourage EVs in India.

Peugeot Boxer Key Highlights

Peugeot’s current Europe-model Boxer features a set of new 2.0-litre BlueHDI diesel engine that increases performance and meets the Euro 6 emission regulations. There are three power output options for the new BlueHDI Boxer engine: 110hp & 300Nm; 130hp & 340Nm; 160hp & 350Nm respectively. You can still drive the Boxer with any output level using a six-speed manual transmission to get better fuel economy. The company claims that it offers 16.6 KMPL fuel consumption, which is the best in its class.

The car’s specs sheet looks very promising. It will be fascinating to see if another French company is able to enter the highly competitive Indian Automobile Market.
