The cast time is 1 action, range is self, the duration is 1 minute and it is a concentration spell and the components are somatic and material meaning you do up the gesture and there’s material involved. It however doesn’t get consumed for this spell, it’s an amount of makeup that’s applied to your face by the way in case you wanted to know that. This is why the school is called “e”nchantment.
The end result: It’s got a point form here select one creature, you do have the advantage on the charisma checks regarding that creature. The creature will notice that the spell has ended when it ends.
Description
Friends 5E spell grants you an advantage over charisma checks directed at one creature, provided it isn’t hostile. At the end of the dnd spell, the creature will see that you used magic to alter its mood and become hostile towards you.

A creature may be inclined to violence and even attack you. Another creature might also seek retribution in other available ways (it might be at the DM’s discretion), also depending on the nature of your interaction with it.
This is why I can understand why people may be reluctant to choose this option. There are other options. It’s not terrible for looking at it for a cantrip it’s not really that bad. It’s great to play social games.

It could be used to barter, which I think many would. Particularly in tows that you’re just passing through, you don’t really plan on lendering. You might also find it useful in getting out of jams with the city guard. Outside of that i think it would pair really well with any disguise magic like they’re like masks of many faces would be a great pairing with this.
This spell is for anyone with a good knowledge of disguised kits. It would depend on their campaign and i suppose but for the most part, if you have a way to change your appearance then there’s no real downside to using it.
