Live caption feature is available on the latest OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones. This feature was introduced at Google I/O 2019. It doesn’t require you to do anything, and automatically inserts captions and then disappears once the task is complete. You can disable the feature from the settings section and turn it off immediately if you get tired of it being everywhere. OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro owners can enable Live Caption via the notification shade. You can access its quick settings to see several shortcuts including the Live Caption option. Once you enable it, the black bar will appear with captions as soon as audio is playing on your phone. It’s interesting to note that the captions will appear even when your phone is off.

You will also see the caption bar with two lines of text. Double-tapping the black bar will expand it. It is possible to move the black bar around the screen by double-tapping it. You can also drag it down towards the bottom of your screen to dismiss it. The feature is currently limited to English. Google plans to support more languages later. How do I enable Live Caption on OnePlus 8 series

First, go to the settings section of your phone and click on System.
