This number allows you to identify the device in the event that it gets lost, stolen or damaged while on your way home from work or shopping.

We will explain how to verify the IMEI number before we get into details. IMEI refers to a SIM Slot. If you have a dual SIM card, you’ll see two IMEI numbers.

Check IMEI Number
You can check the IMEI number by simply using the USSD Code. This process can be used even by a user of a feature-phone.
STEP 1. Call *#06# from your smartphone or feature phone to get started.
STEP2: Now you can see your IMEI number displayed on the screen of the phone. It is a good idea to take a picture or keep it in your Notes app.
Checking your Android phone’s IMEI
You can also check the IMEI number of your phone by going to Settings.
STEP 1. Go to the Settings menu.
STEP 2. Navigate to the About section of the Settings menu.
STEP 3. Scroll down to view your unique IMEI.
How do I check my iPhone’s IMEI?
For iPhones, the process is slightly different. These steps will help you check your iPhone’s IMEI number.
STEP 1. Unlock your iPhone first and then go to the Settings menu.
STEP 3: Next, go to the General option
STEP3: Click On About, then Scroll Down to IMEI.

A removable battery could be present in a phone that is older than a couple of years. You can locate the IMEI number under the battery if it does. Simply open the cover and remove the battery to check your unique IMEI number.
If your phone has been stolen, you will need the IMEI number in order to locate it. To find this information, check either the retail box (or the bill). The IMEI number is included in both the bill and the retail box. This will allow you to locate your stolen device.
