Step 1: First, download the Google Files App and then launch it from your phone.

Step 2: Click on the menu icon in the upper left corner.

Step 3: Navigate to Settings and toggle ‘Show Hidden Files’.

Step 4: Then go to the File Manager of your device and navigate to Internal Storage>WhatsApp>Media>Statuses.

Step 5: A list of statuses you’ve viewed via WhatsApp will appear in your folder. Tap on the video you wish to save.

Step 6: Next, long-press the button and then tap Copy. Then choose the location you wish to save your video from the internal storage of the phone.

A third-party app, such as Status-Server, can be used to select the WhatsApp video you want to download. After that tap the Save icon and the media will be saved in your phone’s internal storage.

Although the steps may seem simple, it is important to get permission prior to downloading any video from another person.
