Instagram is similar to WhatsApp in that it offers many features, such as hiding your online status. Status shows how active or inactive the user is. While this feature is great for some, it can also be frustrating for others. Messenger also offers the same function. Users can avoid being stalked by disabling their activity status via social media platforms. This is a step by step guide to disabling activity status in Instagram.
Instagram: How to conceal your Instagram status
- Tap on the profile button in the lower right corner of the Instagram app.
- Next, tap the menu icon at the upper right corner
- Tap on “Settings”, then tap on “Privacy”.
- Choose “Activity Status”.
- Toggle for Activity Status off
You can turn off activity status to prevent anyone from seeing your last seen. If you want to view a message in a chat, however, the sender of the message will be able to access the “seen” option. This hides all activity from the platform.
