CoWin is India’s vaccine portal. Now, badges are displayed for people who have been vaccinated or partially vaccinated. These badges can be found next to users’ names when they log in to their CoWIN account. The Government of India also confirmed that CoWIN will be available worldwide as open-source software.

The new vaccination badge system was also mentioned by Dr. RS Sharma (CEO of National Health Authority). The move is intended to motivate people who are not vaccinated to do so as quickly as possible.

These are some quick tips to help you share your vaccination badge via social media.

How to share the ‘Partially/Fully Vacinated’ badge via Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp

    1. Scroll down to the CoWIN site and click on “Share vaccination status with your friends”
    2. Register your mobile number and complete name to log in to your account
    3. Please enter the OTP that was sent to you by your mobile phone
    4. After you have completed the above, your current vaccination status will be displayed. Click on “Share” to share your vaccination status.
    5. Share the badge you prefer on WhatsApp, LinkedIn and Facebook

You will now be able share your vaccination status badge along with any caption you choose on these social media sites.

Google recently announced plans to make Google Assistant available in India at the Google For India 2021 conference. Google also announced that the assistant will be able to book vaccinations in India from anywhere, via voice command. An official from Google explained the process of how the assistant works, explaining how it can book vaccine slots in the language spoken by the user.
