Instagram’s auto feed refresh happens because the app is constantly refreshing in the background. This not only ruins your Insta feed but also drains your battery. There is a way to stop Instagram from refreshing in background, regardless of whether your phone has an Android or iPhone.
How to disable auto-refresh on Instagram

Go to Settings and click General.
– Click Background App to refresh and find Instagram on the List
By tapping it, toggle the Background app refresh switch. From the second option, you can turn off background app refresh on all your apps. It can be set to refresh apps only when you are using WiFi, or both while using WiFi & Cellular Data.
Insta auto refresh on Android is disabled
Android’s process will change depending on which skin you use. The majority of options work the same, and regardless of whether you are using OnePlus, Xiaomi or Samsung, there is a simple way to make changes.
Locate and then open the Setting app.
