All adventurers of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook. Thank you for visiting the 34th episode our feat series. Today, we will examine one of most unique and fascinating feats. Today, we will focus on 5e feat of a martial adept. The players’ handbook contains this feat. In any case so let’s take a full look at the description so you can kind of get what i’m talking about.

Description

First and foremost it’s worth noting there is no prerequisite for this. That’s pretty great meaning anyone if any class can take it and you know what everyone of any class should take a look at it and i’ll explain why. The complete feat description can be found here.

You’re already a martial adept dnd5e feat, and can perform combat maneuvers. Here are the benefits you could reap.

  • You can learn maneuvers you choose from the Battle Master archetype to become a fighter. Suppose, a maneuver that you do use may requires your specific target to make a saving throw for resist the maneuver’s effects also the saving throw DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice).
  • This is the superiority die that you will get, which is usually a D6. This die can be added to any superiority dices you have. This die can be used to fuel your maneuvers. You can extend a superiority die at any time. Any superiority dice that are left can be redeemed by taking a short or long break.

Wow that’s a wordy one. Let’s break that down in just a little bit. So we understand kind of what we’re talking about a little bit more.

Walkthrough

So, first and foremost you learn two maneuvers of your choice from among those available to the battle master archetype in the fighter class and there’s a lot. You got commander strike, disarming attack, Distracting Strike, Footwork, feinting attack, goading attack, lunging attackMenacing attack and maneuvering attack. Parry, precision attack. Push attack. Rally, riposte. attackAnd trip attack.

Oh my goodness, if there is a saving throw involved you also got to determine your DC by the number 8 + your proficiency bonus plus your strength or Dex mod and that’s your choice and you gain superiority die in this case a die six and you gain that back on a short or long rest. That’s a lot. That being said let’s dive into over my personal thoughts.

Thoughts

This is my favourite. This is a fantastic idea. This feat is possible with nearly any build that I can think of. Some are better than others, of course. I believe that battle masters are the best class to get the most bang.

Two additional maneuvers are available and you can also get a superiority die. They can be used in many ways and have many options. Close behind them would be the rogue or, in certain cases, the monk. Reason being they’re both dex based fighters. They also lack some combat flexibility namely the assassin, rogue, the scout rogue and any of the monks that doesn’t specialize in spellcast him.

This is a great way to add variety and choice to your playing style. It technically scales with your level modifiers and levels. You can choose the abilities that you like. It all comes down to what you do. That’s why i really like this one. You know there’s a maneuver for just about any type of player out there. These are just some of the many maneuvers that you have.

Conclusion

These are my thoughts, guys. You can share your crazy ideas and build designs about martial adepts. They are fascinating to my eyes, and I am sure they are enjoyed by all who read this article. We are grateful to all of you, and we wish you many happy adventures!
