Salute adventurers, of all shapes and sizes. Welcome to my spellbook. We’re grateful that you chose the 35th episode from our feats series. Today we’re taking a look at one of the more nuanced defeats out there still pretty good though. Today we’re gonna be taking a look at medium armor master 5e feat this guy is found in the players handbook and it is one of the more overlooked feats sadly and i’ll kind of explain why that is in the future here. But let’s take a look at it anyways.
Description
Before we get into details, it is important to note that there is another requirement. This is the ability to use medium armor. Let’s not make any assumptions. This is the description.
Prerequisite:Proficiency in medium armour
You’re a Medium Armor Master 5e feat.
- Medium armor does not affect your Stealth or Dexterity checks.
- Similarly, whenever you wear the medium armor, then you can simply add 3, rather than the 2, for your AC when if you’ve a Dexterity of 16 or higher.
Wlakthrough
This is some amazing stuff. Let’s break that down a little bit. This means you don’t have any disadvantage in stealth or giving. The +1 AC is very good, as you know. It’s your AC plus your modifier plus three now instead of just the two i think that’s pretty good stuff. In any case, let’s take a look at my personal thoughts on this.
Thoughts
You know i’m kind of torn. Personally, i can’t really think of a whole lot of uses for this one. Outside of maybe dex based stealth oriented fighters that could be a beneficial but outside of that i can’t really think of anything. Shield, like all quartercasters, can give half-casters an AC boost.
So, i’m not too sure if the +12 AC is really worth it. I don’t know i’m not super sold on this one personally. Who knows may be i’m wrong.
Conclusion
If you have any ideas, build concepts or uses for medium armor master please put them down in the comment section because i genuinely can’t think of any off the top of my head right now. It was a great experience and I am glad that you enjoyed it. Your time was greatly appreciated.
