Tata Motors finally revealed its new electric SUV, Curvv. Tata says this vehicle was built using modern SUV design principles. Tata has confirmed that the model will go on sale in two years’ time as a ready-to-go production version.
As an addition to the company’s Electric Vehicles (EV) portfolio, the Concept CURVVV will be available in a production-ready form. The company plans to launch an ICE version later.
Tata Motors didn’t reveal details regarding the range or speed of its new Concept Electric Vehicle during the presentation. Officials at Tata Motors claim that the vehicle will have a range of 400 to 500 km on a single charge.
The new Electric SUV will have a short charging time, interactive and intuitive interfaces, quicker response, and more.
CURVVV’s new concept was built using the Generation 2 electric vehicle architecture. Tata claims that this architecture will allow for more flexibility and offer multi-powertrain options. Tata asserts that the products built on the Generation 2 architecture will deliver higher ranges while maintaining the reliability and credibility of the Generation 1 Ziptron products.
We had expected Tata to unveil the Tata Nexon long-range electric vehicle with large batteries earlier. The new EV has been seen being tested on Indian roads. The launch is expected to take place soon.
