Realme GT Neo 3 comes with a polycarbonate body, and it clearly shows. But I still admire the matte finish and smooth and the racing stripes design. The Sprint White colour variant, that I reviewed, was definitely a conversation starter, not exactly in a good sense though!
Although the phone is pretty big (6.7-inch display), but it is handy, as it is 7.56 cm slim and is 188 gm in weight, just like its competitor OnePlus 10R 5G.
Overall, the smartphone design lacks the oomph that I expected, and it is a damn big phone! So if you are looking for a gorgeous smartphone, you need to stop right here.
- Again, I re-iterate: Realme GT Neo 3 is a big phone! 6.7-inch that is, something that gamers and binge-watchers will definitely appreciate. It has a 120 Hz refresh rate AMOLED display that houses a punch hole camera on the top. It has a 2412 x 1080 pixel resolution and 94.2% screen-to-body ratio. It could have been better, but definitely not a deal breaker. The display is beautiful and offers punchy and sharp colours.

Realme GT Neo 3 features a triple rear camera setup that houses a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor that supports OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 4MP macro lens. In my brief time with the device, the phone captured good pictures in well-lit surroundings, and by that I mean sharp details, colour are good, not natural exactly but close enough.
Realme GT Neo 3 performed daily well when tested in low-light settings. The details were hazy but not a lot, and the colour accuracy was also impressive.
Selfies. I kind of love and hate the front facing camera. Although it captured excellent colours and details, it always softens the skin tone, making me look like a ken doll! You do have an option to turn off the beauty mode, so I’d suggest you do that unless you like it the other way around.
Altogether, it’s a camera system that’s good for the price.

Realme GT Neo 3 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC and offers up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage option. It runs on Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0. I was disappointed by the cluttered software that came preloaded with apps like Moj, TakaTak, Josh, ShareChat and so on. The MediaTek chipset handled the day-day tasks pretty well as I did not notice any lags. Jumping from app to app is quick, and I was never left waiting for the phone to catch up.
In terms of battery, the handset comes in two variants: a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 150W UltraDart Charge (the review unit) and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W SuperDart Charge.
As claimed by the company, the smartphone did manage to fill up a dead battery in just the matter of 17 minutes! And no, the device did not heat, not more than it should. So yea, the excellent charging capacity of the phone is definitely the showstopper here!
- The smartphone demands a few compromises like no IP rating, no headphone jack, and no a world-class camera. But it is easy to recommend this phone to gamers on budget who do not mind the enormity of the phone and are all in for the performance, especially the fast charging speed!
