- The Realme Pad Mini is 211.8mm long and 124.48mm wide and it comes with a slim profile of 7.6mm. It comes with an aluminium chassis with flat edges. This metallic design ensures that the back of the tab remains smudge free no matter how rugged the usage is. At the back, you will find a single camera that is encased inside a slim camera module. On the right side you get the home button and volume rockers and on the left there is a SIM card tray for LTE connectivity. On the top you will find a 3.5mm jack along with a speaker grille and at the bottom you will find the USB Type-C port with another speaker grille. Overall, the Realme Pad Mini offers beautiful design that is capable of withstanding the daily wear and tear. However, it does look quite similar to the 5th-gen iPad Air barring a couple of changes. - The Realme Pad Mini comes with a 8.7-inch WXGA+ full screen LCD display with a resolution of up to 1340 × 800 pixels and a peak brightness of 360 nits. In experience, the Pad Mini offers an average display that is bright enough for indoor usage and at night but fails under the sun. The colours are fairly accurate, especially for a device in its price range but don’t expect an exceptional OTT viewing experience. (Image: Shweta Ganjoo/BGR India)
- Coming to the camera, the Realme Pad Mini comes with an 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 5-megapixel camera in the front. The rear camera offers a decent performance when there is ample ambient light. The colours are fairly accurate. However, clarity does take a beating sometimes. At night, Pad Mini captures images with ample visible noise. Coming to the front camera, Images captured in low-light conditions lack clarity. However, image quality is slightly better in day-light conditions. (Image: Shweta Ganjoo/BGR India)
- As far as performance is concerned, the Realme Pad Mini is powered by a Unisoc T616 processor, which is coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage space. In usage, the Pad Mini offers a fairly smooth experience, especially if you are not using it for graphics heavy usage. It works without any lag while browsing through social media and reading articles and light editing work. But don’t expect it to aid you during your weekend gaming marathons. Coming to the battery, the Pad Mini is backed by a 6,400mAh battery, which can easily last for over two days if it is not your primary device (like your smartphone). In day-to-day usage, it lasts for around a day-and-a-half. (Image: Shweta Ganjoo/BGR India)
- With the Realme Pad Mini, the company is trying to bring tablets to the mainstream market just as budget feature packed-smartphones. With that thought in mind, the Realme Pad Mini is a decent buy, especially if you are looking for a device with a bigger display. However, if you want more from the tablet, that is, if you want to use it for other purposes such as gaming and viewing videos extensively, you should give this one a miss.
