Want to hide photos on your iPhone? You don’t need an extra app: Check how to do it

Mobile phones can be used to make calls, bank, watch videos, click pictures and many other purposes. When we are talking about photos, most people take pictures with their phones and show them to others. Sometimes, however, there may be some photos that we don’t want anyone to see and wish to hide. In such situations, many people turn to third-party applications. However this can increase the chance of mobile viruses.

Without third-party software, you can hide your iPhone’s photos. Make sure your iPhone runs at least iOS 14. If the iOS version is lower than iOS 14, this method won’t work.

This is how to hide iPhone photos:

STEP1: Open the Photos app for your iPhone.

STEP 2 – Choose the video or photo you wish to conceal.

STEP 3: Tap the Select button in the upper-right corner to select multiple images or videos.

STEP4: Next, tap the Share button.

STEP5: Choose Hide from The Menu.

STEP6: Confirm you wish to conceal the photo/video.

STEP7: Next, go to Settings and click on Photos.

STEP8: Scroll to the bottom and disable Hidden Album.

Android: How can you hide your photos

  1. First, open the mobile file manger and navigate to the folder containing the image you wish to conceal.
  2. You will need to go to the folder and select the photo you want to hide.
  3. You can then rename the photo.
  4. You will need to replace Jpg behind the photo by writing.ak, and click OK.
  5. This will allow you to create an image file instead of the original photo.
