How to manage storage on WhatsApp (Android)

  1. Get the WhatsApp app
  2. In the upper left corner, click on the menu triangle.
  3. You can also visit the Options Section.
  4. Once you reach the Settings menu, select the storage option and the Data option

  2. This section lists all chats. You can select and delete chats individually or bulky using the Select All option.

How to manage storage on WhatsApp (iOS)

This is very similar to WhatsApp for iOS. These are the steps.

  1. Get the WhatsApp app
  2. You can go to the Settings section.
  3. Select the Storage option or Data option

  1. You will see the Manage storage option. It will display all of your WhatsApp storage.
  2. Files can also be forwarded multiple times to help manage media.
  3. You can manage individual chats by selecting the ones you are interested in, sorting media according to Oldest, Largest, and Latest, then finally, deleting them.

Search for media you wish to delete. Go to chats>> click on the search option> find Media classified as Photos or Documents> then select the file you want to delete> hit the More button to confirm. Now you are good to go.

You will be reminded by the app to delete any WhatsApp data that is overflowing. This feature can be used to free up space quickly.
